Repairable issues
Compatible casters, arm pads, gas cylinders, upholstery, and some controls may be replaceable. Use approved parts and instructions.
A repair should restore safe function, not merely hide damage.
Remove from service immediately
Cracked bases, loose structural connections, separating cylinders, uncontrolled tilt, failed welds, missing critical fasteners, or repeated instability require prompt attention.
Do not continue using a chair while waiting for a part if the fault affects safety.
Fit can change over time
Foam compression, stretched mesh, loose mechanisms, and changed workstations can make a once-suitable chair less effective.
A chair may also be reassigned to a user whose needs fall outside its range.
Use lifecycle records
Track purchase date, warranty, repairs, parts, inspections, and reasons for replacement. This improves future procurement decisions.
